Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the use of services provided by Makeup by Kiley Smith (the “Artist,” “I,” “Me,” “My”). By booking an appointment, you (the “Client”) agree to abide by the terms outlined below. This document also outlines how I handle your personal information, including how it is collected, used, and protected.
Makeup Artistry Services and Artist Interpretation
By booking a makeup appointment with Makeup by Kiley Smith, you acknowledge and understand that makeup artistry is subjective and open to interpretation. While every effort will be made to achieve your desired look based on the consultation and reference images provided, the final result may vary depending on factors such as skin type, skin tone, facial features, and the products used.
I will always strive to ensure you feel confident and beautiful with the makeup application. However, please note that my artistic interpretation and professional expertise will guide the process to deliver the best results for you.
As makeup is temporary and can be affected by various external factors (such as weather, perspiration, or activities), I cannot guarantee the longevity of the makeup or its appearance over time. Touch-up services are available and recommended for extended wear.
If you have any specific concerns or desires regarding your makeup look, please discuss them with me in advance to ensure the best experience and outcome.
Payment and Scheduling
Payment schedules vary depending on the type of service you are booking. Please be aware of the following details:
• Bridal Services: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your wedding day appointment. The remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding date.
• Other Services (e.g., Special Events, Makeup Lessons): Payment terms may vary and will be discussed at the time of booking. A deposit may be required, and the balance will be due before or on the day of the service.
Payments can be made via Honeybook, Cash, Bank Card, and Credit Card. All deposits are non-refundable, but can be applied to a rescheduled service if given at least 72 hours notice-this does NOT apply to wedding services.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Cancellations and rescheduling policies vary depending on the type of service being booked.
• Wedding Services: If the Client desires to cancel wedding services, cancellation must be made in writing to the Artist at least ninety (90) days prior to the Event Date. Failure to do so will result in the Client being responsible for the total amount due for all services listed on this contract.
• Rescheduling: If the Client wishes to reschedule services, or if it becomes impossible for the Artist to render services due to the fault of the Client or any parties related to the Client (such as failure to attend the event or the failure of essential parties to arrive on time), the Client will be responsible for the total amount due for all services listed on this contract. The Artist is under no obligation to attempt to re-book services to fill the void created by the Client’s cancellation, rescheduling, no-show, or any situation that prevents the Artist from providing services due to the Client’s or related parties’ fault. No refunds will be issued for cancellations or rescheduling under these circumstances.
• Other Services (e.g., Makeup Lessons, Special Event Appointments): If you need to cancel or reschedule a makeup lesson or any other non-wedding appointment, please notify me at least 24-72 hours in advance. Any cancellations or changes made less than 72 hours prior to the appointment may result in the loss of your deposit.
Privacy Policy
Your privacy is very important to me. I collect personal information that is necessary for booking and providing services, such as your name, contact details, and event-related information. This information will only be used for the purpose of providing makeup services, communication, and billing.
Your personal information will never be sold to third parties. However, I may need to share information with trusted service providers in the event of booking issues (such as payment processors or event coordinators). These providers are committed to protecting your data.
Data Retention
I retain your personal information only as long as it is necessary for the purpose of providing services. Once this information is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted.
Changes to This Policy
I reserve the right to update or change these Terms and Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and it is your responsibility to review the terms periodically. By continuing to use my services after any changes are made, you accept the updated terms.
