Good time management is imperative to success as a small business owner. As a makeup artist, I have little time between client appointments to respond to inquiries or questions throughout the day. HoneyBook is my saving grace — it has allowed me to keep running my business even when I’m away from my computer or phone. This is exactly why I use HoneyBook as a makeup artist: it is a total game changer.

Why I use Honeybook as a Professional Makeup Artist…
Many of my fellow bridal vendors also use HoneyBook for their small businesses. It’s a fantastic asset for photographers, florists, wedding planners, and more.
One of my favorite features is automation. When a client submits an inquiry, a reply sends immediately with the information they need. If they have questions, I have automations for that too. I can also set up automation so that emails, contracts, or files go out to a client or vendor at a specific date and time, or only with my approval.
Keeping your business organized is also incredibly important as a small business owner. With hundreds of clients each year, correspondence can get overwhelming fast if it isn’t organized well. HoneyBook lets me keep all files and emails for each client in their own client workspace. From there, I can send personalized invoices, proposals, contracts, and timelines, and keep notes and details specific to each client. I can also add vendors to a shared section where we discuss the timeline or any details that need to be worked out for a project.
Another feature I use often is the Opportunities section. This lets any HoneyBook user post jobs for other users to see — for example, a photographer needing a second shooter for a wedding. Photographers, wedding planners, and other vendors regularly check that tab to find help for a specific date or project.
There are many CRMs to choose from…
That said, there are plenty of CRMs out there, each with different features. Choosing the right one for your small business is a personal decision, and any CRM will take some time and effort to learn. After almost two years with HoneyBook, I’m still learning the ins and outs — but I have never once regretted my decision or wished I’d gone with something else.
HoneyBook allows me to spend more time with my family and less time worrying about whether I sent an email or file out on time. From makeup lessons to photoshoots, editorial projects, and weddings, using HoneyBook as a makeup artist has me covered.
